Back on track? Or: Why I can´t win on CoinPoker

Maybe I should post the question: why can´t I win on CoinPoker? Anyways, I have completed my first 100 events on CoinPoker and experienced a massive downswing as I have written before. I don´t want to hide it: I am a losing player there (as of now) but I do want to change this!

My short explanations: I definitely needed some more time to adjust to the formats there, since they have usually bigger fields and slower blind structures than I am used to on ACR Poker.

Dominating the 3.30 Turbo Tournament on CoinPoker

Then, a sample size of 100 events is still too low to judge. I just found another player who had a similar graph in the beginning: “KingOfDaCastle” had an even worse development with losses of more than 1000$ over the first 300+ events, only to get to a positive of about 4000$ at one point.

After 100 events on CoinPoker, I have a profit of -400$. Coming 2nd in the last event should be a good Omen for the next 100 events, though:P

Constantly losing was also not helping with my tilt but I have it more under control again. I can definitely say that I had more than the usual share of suckouts and bad beats (against two outers on the bubble) and was running hot, pushing too loosely trying to “win it back” but I think that on CoinPoker I need to be more patient than on ACR Poker due to the structure and also the player pool, I believe.

In May, I will focus on the smaller stakes between 1.1, 2.2 and 3.3$ to gain back some confidence and break the losing pattern. I am very confident that my plan will work.

After my recent win on that level, I finished as runner up today

After the next 100 events, I will hopefully be able to show a better graph but there is no guarantee. Moreover, since I am going to focus mainly on ACR Poker as written in my last article, I will rather play more or less 50 events on CoinPoker in May – let´s see!
