After a 1:3 with my first Sealed Deck, I was able to qualify for Day 2 today with a decent 5-colour deck featuring Ugin. I am more than happy about this achievement because back in the days, when Grand Prix were still a thing, I always missed out on making Day 2, and sometimes I was missing only one point. After playing MtG for almost 27 years, I consider myself being not a total noob anymore…
This is how my deck looked like:

I think apart from Ugin, Eye of the Storm some of the key cards were the dragons, of course, but also the good removal spells. I have found that it is super important to prioritize playing all your good removal, if possible. Otherwise, you could still get overrun by the random Mardu or Boros deck. If I could replace a couple of cards or add them to the pool, then it would be Ainok Wayfarer or Kishla Skimmer in the 2-mana-slot, ideally both because they are a great combo:)
Another great card would have been Traveling Botanist that perfectly pairs up with Dragonbood´s Relic.
Anyways, I hope that I can perform during the draft portion tomorrow and will also write about how I went. I might even record a video as well – let´s see and fingers crossed!
