The past week has been a roller coaster of some sort: I had my biggest tournament win on ACR for more than 700$, followed by a massive downswing on tilt of almost 600$. The result after 100 events was that I went break-even.
I could be mad but I am actually grateful for this experience. It reminded me that it is really important to play your A game to have the best ROI. I figured that it is
- not good to play on tilt
- not good to play various levels at the same time
- not good to play on “automode”
- not good to play 40 or more events on one day
- not good to play for more than 2-4 hours on more than 4 tables at the same time.
I committed all of the above mentioned mistakes. But I am very proud that I corrected those again and returned stronger than ever. After 230 events, I think that it is safe to say that I am a winning player with more than 20% ROI, and I beat 6.60, 11, 16.5, and even 22$ SnG tournaments comfortably, while 33-55$ seems to be the next level to master for me.
At this point, I am looking at a bankroll of about 1500$ which lets me legitimately play a 15$ ABI (average buy-in) which I do not even reach at the moment.
I will stick with a mix of 6.60, 11, 16.5, and 22$ buy-in tournaments for now with rare shots on 33$ events. I busted again on the bubble on the way to a 109$ GTD ticket today, but I am very confident that I will be able to get one of those seats in the near future to finally also play my first three digits buy-in event on ACR poker.
After cracking the 1000$ bankroll limit and now at 1500$, my next hopefully near milestones will be the 2000 and 2500$ treshold – let´s see, how long it will take for me to reach those goals:)
