Goal achieved: 1000$ bankroll!

I had written about my next milestone in my last article and reckoned that I would reach 1000$ bankroll within the next 3-4 months. But it actually took me only one day more! Well, I felt like joining a 3000$ GTD Hyper Turbo PKO for 21$ buy-in, and guess what: I emerged victorious amongst 155 players!

This absolutely amazing, and there were a couple of moments during the tournament, where I had 2 or 3 BB left, and I was still able to make it to the final table, the heads-up, and then win the whole thing!

The funny thing is that the regular price for 1st was 325$ but the bounties amounted to another 380$ (!) for a total of 705$. Since my bankroll was already at close to 500$ yesterday, I am now looking at more than 1100$ on my ACR poker account.

This means that I will drop the 3.30 – 6.60 tournaments and will focus on 11, 16.5, 22, and maybe some shots at bigger tournaments around 33 – 55$. The next milestone should be 2000$, then 5000$, and eventually 10000$. I really have no idea, how long this will take – I might surprise myself once again!

Having a bankroll of more than 1000$ is for me close to 20 years ago, when I was a student at LMU Munich, “studying” historical sciences and philosophy, trying to make ends meet with Poker Texas Hold´Em. Nowadays, it is just a hobby but because I don´t have to win, I play with much more ease and confidence which makes a big difference!

I am not afraid of busting and always try to go for the win, and not for the min cash! This results in several top positions, at least on the micro – medium level. I know that I have a lot to improve but I am really looking forward to continue on this journey to my first live poker final table, and hopefully win!
